Lesson 3

Road signs and markings

How to read prohibitions, warnings, priority signs and temporary roadwork signs.

Road signs and markings

Signs help a driver predict a situation before it becomes dangerous. Markings organize lanes, boundaries, directions and restrictions.

If temporary traffic organization conflicts with permanent signs or markings, a driver follows the temporary organization.

For exams, it helps to understand sign groups: warning, priority, prohibitory, mandatory, information and service signs. This turns guessing into road-reading.

This lesson supports traffic test preparation and practical city driving.

How we train this in class
  • break the rule down on a clear diagram
  • reinforce it with test questions
  • move the situation to a real Dnipro route
